"Good Design Solves Problems"
Lea Bartneck has been actively involved in the design field for over 20 years, 13 of which were running her own design firm in the East Bay. Her previous career as an artist specializing in architectural glass and sculpture led her into frequent collaboration with interior designers. When coupled with her affinity for architectural construction, Lea found a career in the interior design industry.
She specializes in using classic design principles while keeping her projects fresh and modern by staying current with the latest trends in furnishings, lighting, textiles and color. Lea works on projects from the ground up beginning from the early conceptual stages of blueprints and drafting, down to the last accessory. This ability enables her to work closely and cohesively with contractors and architects regularly. In addition, Lea encourages her clients to showcase their existing collections of art, antiques and heirlooms--the pieces that will truly imbue their home with their unique personality. Lea's work has been featured in several publications throughout the years, including Diablo Magazine. Her most fulfilling design project was building her own tri-level home from the ground-up. The property is located on over 40 acres on Mt. Diablo and even includes a personal glass-blowing artist's studio.
Lea is also a strong advocate for giving back to her local communities. She has been a member of the Danville Greater Area and Oakland Chamber of Commerce, as well as the American Association of University Women. Lea has also assisted with homes on the fundraising tours for the Oakland East Bay Junior league in addition to decorating the local Christmas tree for Alamo every year. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, equestrian and international traveler, Lea draws her artistic inspiration from the world around her as it is found in nature and other various cultures
